Services

ADVISERS

We have a team of advisers who provide information, advice, support, and advocacy to people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. They also act as a resource to non specialist agencies on matters relating to spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

The ASBAH Advisers work very closely with SASBAH by assisting and supporting those with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus in Sussex. They advise individuals, families and other professionals within the voluntary and statutory sector on a range of issues and have specialist knowledge of the conditions.

EDUCATION ADVISER SERVICE

The Education Adviser works with families, schools and colleges, to ensure that our service users get the best from their education and reach their full potential.  The adviser also aims to enhance staff’s understanding of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. We also support  young people on vocational courses or voluntary work placements. If an educational problem arises or you need any advice or support please contact margaret@sasbah.org.uk

BUDDY SCHEME

The Sussex Buddy Scheme aims to enable disabled people who find it difficult to get out and about to take advantage of what is going on locally in the company of a volunteer buddy.
